Total Ankle Arthroplasty With Bone Defects

   Abstract
An alternative total ankle arthroplasty procedure has been developed that capitalizes on the strength of local bone when posterior bone stock of the talus is insufficient. This case report describes the 2-year postoperative results of a modular total ankle arthroplasty on a patient with significant bone loss of the posterior talus.
